  • I’m going to try to explain this as best as I can because I’m not very technical when it comes to cars. I have a Brabus 850 that I absolutely adore, I’ve had it for about two years now and honestly it’s brought me so much joy. But over the last few weeks I’ve noticed that when I go over speed bumps or even small imperfections in the road, the front left side makes this deep clunking noise that it never used to make before. It doesn’t happen every time, maybe one out of three bumps, but it’s getting more frequent and I’m starting to get really concerned. I took it to a general garage near my office in Mussafah just to get an opinion, and the guy there looked at the car for maybe five minutes and said I need new shock absorbers on both sides, quoted me something like 12,000 dirhams. But honestly I don’t know if I trust his diagnosis because he didn’t even put the car on a lift or test drive it. He just heard me describe the noise and gave me a price. That seems crazy to me. I started searching online last night for a proper Brabus car repair service in Abu Dhabi because I think I need someone who actually knows these vehicles inside and out, not a general mechanic who sees one once a year if he’s lucky. Has anyone here experienced a similar clunking noise on their Brabus? What was the actual problem and how much did it cost you to fix? Also, how do you find a mechanic you can actually trust with a car like this? I don’t mind paying fairly for good work but I hate the feeling of being taken advantage of just because of the badge on my car. Please share your experiences because I’m losing sleep over this noise and I just want my car to feel right again.
