ParticipantLately our small app team has been adding more people almost every month, and I started noticing that simple decisions suddenly need three meetings. A year ago two developers handled everything and it felt easy. What was the first sign for you that a software project had simply become too big for its original team setup?

ParticipantBack at my previous job, the moment I realized things had changed was when nobody seemed to know who owned certain features anymore. We were still acting like a tiny startup even though the project had grown a lot. I ended up reading a few articles, including https://geomotiv.com/services/dedicated-development-team-services/, because I was curious how other companies deal with scaling teams. It made me think that growth often creates communication gaps long before anyone officially admits the structure no longer fits.

ParticipantSeveral companies around my city have expanded their development departments recently, and it’s funny how the atmosphere changes when a project gets larger. The same product can suddenly feel completely different once there are many more people involved, even from the outside looking in.
