I spend close to half the year in Dubai now because a lot of my business partners have moved there. I’m constantly flying in for meetings, introductions, and new deals, and at this point I’m tired of paying for hotels every time I land. I’m thinking about buying an apartment and just having my own place waiting for me whenever I’m in town. Where would you look at apartments for sale in Dubai?
After that many trips, you probably already know which part of the city you naturally end up in most often. I’d use that as a starting point before worrying about views, pools, or an extra bedroom. Spend a couple of evenings walking around the buildings near your usual meeting spots and talk to brokers who actually work in those neighborhoods. You may find that paying a little more for the right address saves you a ridiculous amount of driving every month.
There’s also something nice about buying in a city you already know well. You aren’t guessing which neighborhood might suit you someday, because you’ve already had plenty of time to notice where you like eating, working, and spending an evening after meetings. From there, it should be much easier to narrow the search to something you’d actually enjoy coming back to.
