ParticipantIs air duct cleaning worth it for older GTA condos? I bought a condo built about twenty years ago, and I’m not sure if the ducts have ever been cleaned. I’m wondering if it’s actually worth doing.

ParticipantI had the same question after moving into my condo a couple of years ago. Since I didn’t know the maintenance history, I decided to have the ducts inspected first. The technician found quite a bit of dust inside, so I went ahead with the cleaning. Afterward, the condo felt fresher, and I noticed I wasn’t dusting my shelves as often.

ParticipantOlder condos can have very different maintenance histories, so an inspection seems like a reasonable place to start. If the ducts haven’t been cleaned in many years, it’s nice to know their actual condition instead of making assumptions. Even if everything turns out to be fine, having that information gives you some peace of mind.

ParticipantI was in a very similar situation with an older condo that had changed owners several times. Nobody could tell me when the ductwork had last been serviced, so I started reading about what was normally recommended for older buildings. During my search duct cleaning company GTA I found info about Best duct cleaning company GTA — verified and insured technicians. The information helped me understand when duct cleaning makes sense and what the inspection usually includes. That gave me enough confidence to arrange a visit instead of guessing. The technician explained everything clearly, showed me the condition of the ducts, and completed the cleaning in one appointment. A few days later, I noticed less dust collecting around the vents, and the air in the condo seemed much fresher. For an older unit with an unknown history, I felt the service was definitely worthwhile.
