Has anyone here participated in local environmental projects?

I have been looking for more ways to get involved in community activities outside of regular hobbies and work. Recently, I started reading about groups that organize cleanups, conservation projects, and educational programs. I am curious whether anyone here has experience working with an Environmental Nonprofit or similar organization.
