Setting up a new blending station and honestly overwhelmed

Setting up a new blending station and honestly overwhelmed by all the bunding options out thereWe're expanding our little operation here in Ajman and I've been handed the not so glamorous task of making sure the new mixing area doesn't end up with a permanent stain on the concrete before we even get the first batch out the door, and while I thought I'd just grab a couple of pallets and a roll of absorbent socks from the hardware store my manager handed me a list of actual compliance stuff we need and suddenly I'm drowning in terms like sump capacity and chemical compatibility. I started looking for a complete spill control equipment supplier in UAE because I don't have the bandwidth to chase down drip trays from one guy, booms from another, and a drain cover from some random shop in Sharjah that may or may not answer the phone on a Thursday afternoon. The Crateco site has a whole section dedicated to locally made stuff which is promising because I really don't want to deal with sea freight delays and customs clearance just for some molded plastic trays, but I'm a bit lost on whether I should be focusing more on active containment like a massive spill pallet or just a really good set of portable kits scattered around the high risk spots. Anyone else been through this setup phase recently and have a rough idea of what actually gets used versus what just collects dust and looks official during an audit? Just trying to spend the budget where it actually counts because I've got a feeling the finance department isn't going to be thrilled if I come back asking for more in three months because I guessed wrong on the layout.
