ParticipantI keep seeing these collapsible crates being promoted everywhere and I’m genuinely curious whether they’re actually practical in a busy warehouse or just one of those things that looks good in a brochure but ends up being more trouble than it’s worth. The idea of saving space when they’re empty is obviously appealing, especially since our storage area gets pretty tight during off-peak seasons when we’ve got a lot of empties sitting around taking up valuable floor space. I was reading about different material handling approaches used by big logistics operations here, and it seems like some places swear by them while others stick with traditional rigid crates. What I really need are some heavy duty plastic crates for warehouse management UAE that can handle the daily abuse of constant loading, unloading, and stacking, and I’m worried that the collapsible ones might sacrifice durability for the sake of that foldable feature. Has anyone here actually used both types and can give me an honest comparison of how they hold up over time? Do the hinges or folding mechanisms break easily, do they still stack securely when fully loaded, and is the space-saving benefit actually noticeable enough to justify any potential downsides? I’d love to hear from someone who’s been using them for a while rather than just salespeople trying to push their products.
